The acquisition, conservation, management and disposition of land and interests in land within and surrounding the towns of Amherst and Mont Vernon, New Hampshire, in order (a) to preserve and protect the natural resources, to include the conservation of the natural resources of land, water, marshland, woodland, and open spaces, and the plant and animal life therein, and (b) to maintain unique scenic and historical sites within said area, and (c) to protect the waters, lakes, ponds and watershed areas against environmental deterioration.
 

​To promote through educational and public information programs within and surrounding the towns of Amherst and Mont Vernon the practice of conservation of natural resources.
